A heritage that goes beyond the sea

Culture and traditions

Travel to the authentic heart of Sardinia

Staying in our hotels means experiencing not only the beauty of Sardinian beaches but also immersing yourself in a region rich in culture, ancient history, and living traditions. The province of Oristano, and particularly the Peninsula of Sinis, holds an authentic soul that is expressed through rituals, flavours, craftsmanship, and hospitality.

Nuragic civilisation and archaeology

A few kilometres from our hotels are archaeological sites of extraordinary value, such as the sacred well of Santa Cristina, the Tharros complex, the sacred area of Monte Prama – famous for its Stone Giants – and numerous nuraghi, stone towers that tell the story of the mysterious Nuragic civilisation. An unmissable stop for those who love the island’s history and deep roots.

Festivals and Traditions

Attending a traditional festival in Sardinia is like stepping into the living history of the island. Among the most evocative celebrations in the Oristano area is the Corsa degli Scalzi, held every year in Cabras, between late August and early September. In this ancient votive procession, hundreds of barefoot men, dressed in white, run for kilometres carrying the statue of San Salvatore, in an atmosphere filled with spirituality, silence, and collective participation.

Oristano and La Sartiglia

The historic centre of Oristano is an urban gem rich in medieval charm. The symbol of the city is the Sartiglia, the famous equestrian joust held every year at Carnival: an event full of symbolism, with costumes, galloping horses, and the vibrant atmosphere of a unique folk festival in Sardinia.
